How to Stop Biting Your Nails Without Using Creams Or Willpower

As eveybody know that there are awful lot of people struggling with finger nail biting an d it can be very hard to stop because many people have developed the habit since early childhood, often having seen their parents with themselves as they were growing up as well as with stopping many bad habits, you will need a lot of motivation and dedication.

First thing to think, it is wise to look after your hands as you do the rest of your body, depending on the state of your nails, you should carefully trim or file off any sharp edges and if bitten right down, pay attention as they start to grow back with a simple manicure is quite inexpensive, so if may be worth having this done regularly too.

Actually there are particular little tricks, which you can try that will help you to actually stop biting your nails, and as a secondary remedy, just make sure you are thinking about biting and not just gnawimg it away reactively. You can also try keeping a pair of gloves in your bag or pocket and when you feel the urge to bit or notice yourself biting, pop them on. By doing this on every occasion will obviously negate your ability to bite but also force you to do something in reaction to the thought.

Aside from that there are other tricks along with the same lines eduacte you to do another action where the urge is bit your nials, instead of going to bite the nail, clench your fists with the ends of your thumbs and fingers inside the clench. You should also try putting your hands in your pockets, perhaps do something nice to touch to occupy your hands and if you are in a situation where this is not easy, tyr reaching for an object. You can also try wearing artificial nails, this will allow your nails to be protected, particulary as you work on building your focus and willpower as well as providing a nice look to your hands that as above will give you additional motivation to keep going. There will alos be other ways that you may come across now, which you have got yourself recognizing when you are biting, just be sure to ask your friends and family to help, both by providing tips and suggestions and letting you know when you are biting. Although there ar certain nail paints with a nasty taste to them that some people have found effective.

However, it is not uncommomn for people to get used to these rancid sensation in their mouth, whilst some types that can wear off in a short space of time, quickly rendering them useles. In whatever the reason for reaching the conclusion which you will stop, be it through other people’s reactions or having seen yourslef in a different light and just remember that there are effective ways to stop biting your fingernails.
